How mortgages work for non-residents in the Dominican Republic
Foreign buyers often ask whether a Dominican bank will review a mortgage application if they do not live in the country full time. The short answer is that some banks do review those files. The longer answer is that each bank sets its own rules, and only that bank can say whether a file is accepted. This note explains the process in general terms. It is not an offer of credit and it does not promise a rate or an approval.

Documents banks ask for on a personal loan or mortgage application
A complete file is easier to read than a thick file with gaps. Banks in the Dominican Republic do not all ask for the same pack, but most personal loan and mortgage applications start from the same idea: prove who you are, prove how you earn, and prove what you want to finance. This list is educational. Your bank may ask for more, less, or different papers.

How to review your credit profile before a bank loan in the Dominican Republic
A bank that reviews a loan file will look at more than your income. It will also look at how you have handled credit. In the Dominican Republic that information can come from credit information firms and from the Superintendencia de Bancos risk center. This note explains the idea. It does not give you a target score, and it does not say that a cleaner file will be approved.

How business funding applications work and what banks look for in a plan
A business that wants a bank loan or a line of credit is asking an institution to take a risk on future cash. The bank will look for a clear activity, a way to repay, and papers that match the story. This note is about the application file. It is not a promise that funding will arrive, and it is not investment advice.

Real costs of buying property in the Dominican Republic
The purchase price is only one number. Buyers also pay taxes, legal work, registration steps, and, if they borrow, the costs the bank puts in the offer. This note repeats what official tax pages state about the transfer tax and then lists other costs you should confirm case by case. We do not quote legal fees as a percentage because those are private quotes, not a rate published by the tax office.

How to compare loan offers: rates, fees, and terms
Two offers can look similar in a headline rate and still cost different amounts over the life of the loan. Dominican financial users have the right to complete, timely information and to choose a product freely. This note is a reading list for the paper the bank hands you. It is not a ranking of banks and it is not a promise of a better rate.
